Welcome Bags/First Dinner

The first dinner has been moved to Sat. April 15th. Season ticket meet the team is 4/8 from 2:30-3. We'll have to talk to Nick about when a good time to pack the welcome bags would be. Next meeting is 4/11 @ Buddies. 6:30.

Updates

Don't forget tomorrow 7/12 is our booster club meeting at 6:30. We will be having it at Leo's on Pennsylvania. 

Next membership table is 7/22 and next Dinner is 7/24. We are having pulled pork. Other sides will be decided at the meeting tomorrow.

Possible trip to Fort Wayne on 7/31. More talking about this at meeting.

Dinner and Meeting for June

All of you should of got an email for what you're bringing to the dinner on Sunday after the game. There is one change in the schedule, there will be NO get away bags following the dinner. 

Our meeting is Tuesday, June 14th @ 5:30. I'm guessing at the View but will update with any changes.

Dinner and Get away bags.....

Are this  Sunday 5/15. Dinner will be Tacos. Everyone should know what they're bringing to the dinner. Remember get away snacks are for 36.

Meeting 4/12

Since there is a home game on Tuesday, our next meeting, we will be meeting at THE VIEW @ 5:30 instead of our normal 6:30 time. We will be planning our first dinner and get away bags both on 4/24 after the game. We will be having beef stew, we just have to decide what sides/desserts we will bring. The players filled out a food survey and I gave them to Marcia and Carol.  The first membership table (weather permitting), will be on Friday April 22nd, from when gates open until about the 4th inning.

There will be some updates coming the next week or so. I will update our Calendar of Events, Add a tab ASAP for past player's of the month, update the Major League Lugnuts Section among other things. Stay tuned!

July Events

We've got a few things going on in July, so here is a rundown of the important dates coming up:

July 14th: Meeting at Buddies in Holt @ 6:30

July 24th: Membership Table

July 26th: Dinner and Get away bags. We will be deciding on the dinner menu at the meeting on the 14th. Get away bags will be packed after dinner as the team leaves on the 28th for another road trip!

July 27th: GOLF OUTING @ EL DORADO MASON AT 9:00 AM for registering and 10 AM Golf start time. Please get any last minute donations and teams that you can and report those at the meeting on the 14th, as that is the last meeting before the outing!

*We only have 1 more dinner after July's, which includes an Ice Cream Social (Desert) with the last dinner and 1 more get away bag and a Special Send off bag on Sept. 4th. We need to decide what is something we would like to put in those bags for the team, even though they will be back on Sept. 10th for playoffs. 

June

June Events:

*Dinner is Sunday June 7th. We are having Lasagna. Bring what you signed up for. If you have any questions, see Carole.

*Get away bags, June 8th, after game. This is a 12:05 game. We can either pack them after the dinner on the 7th or wait until the 8th. June 9th is an off day, but they head out to Quad Cities on the 10th for a 3 game series and also to Cedar Rapids for a 3 game series. I know we just did bags on May 25th, but we had moved them back to that day. This is their first trip to Iowa this season.

*Meeting is June 9th at Buddies, 6:30 p.m. Hope to see everyone there!

* June 19th is our next membership table. I will have golf outing fliers at the table. Hopefully we will have our canvas shopping bags in, and I will also have a few of those at the table. 

*June 23rd is the MWL All-Star game @ Dozer Park in Peoria, IL. A few members will be in attendance to cheer on our All-Stars, as long as the rest of the East All-Stars to Victory. 

May 2015

Our next meeting is this coming Tuesday, May 12th at buddies in Holt at 6:30. We are not in the normal room due to it being booked already. We will be in the left hand side area once you walk in the door. We will discuss our Dinner that we had on the 3rd. Get away bags are coming up again on 5/25. The game is at noon and bags will be packed after the game. If you cannot make it the 25th, please bring snacks for 36 before the 25th. We will be planning out event on the 17th at the White Caps. More details to follow. 

Welcome to the 2015 Season!

We have finally made it to the 2015 Lansing Lugnuts Baseball Season! Sorry for the lack of updates, been a real busy time as of late. I have updated some of the pages including our calendar of Events and Major Leauge Lugnuts and more so check it all out!

Important Dates coming up in April:

14th: Booster Meeting at Buddies in Holt at 6:30. We will be talking about last minute ideas/changes to the menu for our 1st dinner on April 19th. Main dish is beef stew and I will get a list of who's bringing what and post it on here. We will also briefly talk about our first get away bags on the 23rd after the game. Reminder bring snacks for 36 and we will be packing them for the team as they go off to Bowling Green and Lake County. First long trip of the season! 

18th: Membership table # 1. (weather permitting). Game is at 5:05 and we are usually located by nuts and bolts and are there until around the 5th inning.

19th: Welcome to Lansing Dinner after the game. Game time is 2:05

23rd: Get away bags after the game.

Our next meeting is Tuesday May 12th!

Booster Club Garden In front of Cooley Law School Stadium

On Tuesday 7/1, a few members of the Booster Club helped make a flower garden in shape of a baseball! We would like to thanks all of the members who were able to help out. Soon we will have a sign in the garden stating that it was designed and maintained by the Booster Club!

Golf Update...Next Meeting, Dinner and Get away bags

We would like to thank Nancy for all of her hard work on helping put our 2nd annual golf outing at El Dorado in Mason. It was a profitable one for us!! She did a wonderful job! Also, thanks to all of the other booster members who help out and also golfed and to all of the Lugnuts players who came out to support us and all of the other golfers to make this year's outing even better than last year! We would also like to thank all of the places who donated items for our raffle and also El Dorado for helping us put this on! There will be pictures coming very soon! 

Next meeting is this coming Tuesday, July 8th at Buddies in Holt at 6:30. We will be putting finishing touches on the dinner which is Sunday July 20th, as is the get away bags. Remember snacks for 36. Hope to see everyone there on Tuesday!

May Player of the Month

This picture was taken on 6/8 on the field to congratulate Dawel Lugo on being the May player of the month. He was presented with this plaque that is hung up near the dugout. He was given a certificate and a $25.00 gift card! Each month Jesse (radio announcer) picks a player of the month for us and we present to them on the field and give them a certificate and a gift card! Congratulations again Dawel!

POM, Dinner on 6/8, Meeting 6/11, All Star Game 6/17 and Golf 6/23

The POM (Player of Month) for May is Dawel Lugo. We will be doing a presentation on the field on Sunday at 1:40. A script will be read by the press box and I will hand him his certificate and gift card. Anyone who wants to join on the field is welcome and need a couple of people to take pictures. I will also be on the radio with Jesse on Sunday. The dinner on Sunday is Italian Bar style so please don't forget to bring what you signed up for. I have the All Star tickets so I will bring them to buddies on the 11th, which is the day of our meeting and is at 630. Need to talk about Midland Dinner Idea on the 29th at this meeting. Don't forget the golf outing is on the 23rd, and get all prizes/donations you have to Nancy ASAP!

Next Meeting: Tueday 5/13 at Buddies

The next meeting is this tuesday 5/13 at buddies. We will be talking golf, travel and the normal things. The Next dinner is June 8th and our June meeting is the 11th, so we will have to talk about the June Dinner. I will be in contact with WM to see when they will be sending me the all-star tickets!

Important Calendar Changes!!

The meeting at the clubhouse on 4/8 at 530 was ok'd by nick. The 1st dinner and get away bags will now be a day earlier on sat april 12th. Team leaves for wisconsin after game on sunday 4/13. Nick said breakfast would be too hard to do due to workouts etc. on May 31st. Aug 10th is the staff picnic when the players also attend, due to that dinner for now will be Aug 24th after the 505 game. Updates made in calendar section and a new calendar of events will be provided at the next meeting on April 8th.

Meeting Tonight 3/11

BIG meeting tonight at 6:30 at buddies. A lot to talk about and Nick will be there around 7:00 to talk about the season and answer any questions! Don't forget to visit Matt at Nuts and Bolts. He has a lot of new t shirts, a few new hats and baseballs and new tervis. More novelty items coming soon such as pins, pencils, markers, seat cushions and more!

First off, thanks for the email and wanting to support the Whitecaps. We appreciate you reaching out to us as we have a high level of respect for the Lugnuts and their affiliated partners. As for help, all we are asking for is some support this summer when baseball season rolls around!

In regards to the all-star game, our on-sale date for tickets is going to be Tuesday, March 4^th at 10:00am. Do you have an estimated number of people you would be expecting to attend? Our group minimum is 20. And yes, we could make an accommodation and accept a booster club check as long as we received the check before the tickets went on sale.

Thank You, Meeting 9/12 and Upcoming Off Season News

I would like to thank everyone for their hard work this season! We had some of the best turn outs in a long time for our dinners. Once I get a copy of the 2014 schedule, I will be putting the *tentative* calendar together for our events for 2014. I am in contact with some other booster clubs in our league and trying to get a few new ideas that we can try to do for 2014. Hopefully I will hear from them all soon. To my shock, the WhiteCaps do NOT have a booster club. For the October meeting we will go over the schedule that I will be putting together so we can have some feedback. We will need to plan the golf outing this offseason so we can get sponsors and prizes. We will be shooting for May or June, depending on the schedule. Our next meeting will be Thurs 9/12 at Buddies in Holt at 6:30. I want to get a vote to see if we would like to have our October meeting there as well. I believe we will be voting on officers at the meeting. Before you know it, it will be March and we will be having our spring training warm up dinner and planning our welcome bags and first dinner with the team! Hope to see you all at the meeting on Thursday! Pictures from golf and last dinner will be posted soon!

GOLF SCRAMBLE UPDATE 8/13 at El Dorado In Mason

Scramble is coming up! If anyone can donate anything for raffle prizes let me know! 11 am registration with 12 noon lunch and 1:00 Tee Off. Raffle for prizes will follow! Cost: $45.00

Meeting Wednesday 8/7/13

Meeting is at 5:30 in Spartan Locker Room. Lot of information to discuss so I hope everyone can make it!

7/31 Get away bags rescheduled and FW Update for 8/4

Nick called FW and due to scheduling complications we are not able to do the dinner with the team in FW, HOWEVER, we will be getting together on the morning of Sunday Aug 4th to make sack lunch bags for the team. They will be given to them after the double header in the lobby of the hotel. There will be a sign put up in the locker room on the 3rd or 4th stating that. Also a note will be given to the coach staff...this way the players wont go out to eat as the hotel is one block from the stadium and they do not ride the bus to and from the park to hotel. With that said the scheduled get away bags on 7/31, will be moved to 8/26 after the game. The final dinner is 8/25 and the get away bags now on 8/26 will be the final home even with the team. If you are interested in going to FW on the 4th, it is a double header and I will need names for the pass list! I should be at the next 8 home games so if anyone has questions they can email me or find me at the park!

Meeting 7/10 and Get away bags 7/15 and 7/31 and Dinner 7/28

The meeting for July will be this wed 7/10 at the ball park. Will know time and place at the park tomorrow. Get away bags are 7/15 and 7/31 after the game. The game time for 7/31 is 12:05 pm so bring snacks the day before if works out better. Our next dinner with the team is 7/28 with possible ice cream social(will be discussed at meeting). Look for the update tomorrow and everyone should of received an email from Cal earlier today.

Radio Tomorrow 6/27 and Dinner Sunday 6/30

I will be on the radio tomorrow during the top of the 3rd inning to talk about the booster club. Tune in! The dinner is on Sunday and is an Italian Theme. Week of June 9-16

Sunday June 9th: Was the Dinner at West Michigan. It was a popular dinner as most of the food was gone and the players were very appreciative. There are pictures in the Booster Events Picture  Section. 

Thursday June 13th- Booster Meeting in the Club House at 5:30. 

Friday June 17th (Tentative Booster Table). May need someone to take Dan and I's spot. Will let you know or may have to move it to another day.

Sunday June 16th: Packing get-away bags. The players will not actually receive these until June 20th, as that is the first game back from the all star break. They will be going to Bowling G reen and Dayton. PLEASE NO PERISHABLE ITEMS SUCH AS APPLES ORANGES OR ANYTHING THAT MAY ROT, as the bags will be sitting around for a few days before the players receive them. 

South Bend Trip and Subs 5/26; Sloppy Joes at Bus at West Mich 6/9 and next meeting and other info

A few Booster Club Members made the trip to South Bend on May 26th. We cheered the team on and had subs for them at the bus after the game. All the players and coach's were very appreciative. I will be posting pictures from this event shortly! We decided to also feed the team in West Mich after the game on Sunday June 9th. This time it will be sloppy joes. If anyone plans on going, email me or comment below with your name so we can get you tickets and what you will be bringing. Our next meeting is June 13th at 6:00 at the Ballpark. (More info coming later). Our next getaway bag is 6/16, which is fathers day. The all star break runs from 6/17-6/19 so the bags will be given to the players on 6/20, so please nothing that will rot or spoil since it would be sitting around for a few days. Our next dinner is June 30th, which is also bark in the park. I will be sending out this in email form as well. Hope to hear back from people soon! Don't forget, we have copies of Jesse's Book to sell. The price of the books is $15.00 each and if interested or know someone who would like to buy a copy, see Cal.

Meeting 5/9/13

The meeting will be at Buddies in Holt on May 9th and 6:30 in the same room as the spring training dinner. The rest of the meetings during the season after this one will be held at the ballpark. More information coming soon. 

Get away bags 4/24.

The Lugnuts leave for an 8 game road trip to Iowa after the game on the 24th. this will be our second get away bag. there isn't one scheduled in may. I will get a hold of nick and see if they are leaving right after the game, if so, the ones who want to stick around could pass the bags out to the players as  they get onto the bus! 

There will soon be an application online to join the booster club.

Dinner Saturday After Game

Just a reminder, don't forget our first team dinner is after the game this Sat. 4/13. Main Dish is Beef Stew and it should be perfect weather for beef stew! any question comment here or send me an email!

This Wednesday 4/3/13 Events

Kind of a busy evening! But baseball is back finally. If possible meet at the ball park at 5:00 p.m. to start packing the welcome and get away bags. After this, we will do meet the team, then after meet the team we will have our April meeting. We will be mainly going over final touches for the team dinner on Sat 4/13. Any questions let me know! Bring a snack for 35 and if you were going to bring anything for the welcome bags, of course bring those also.

Pocket Schedule Stuffing Tomorrow

We will be packing pocket schedules tomorrow 3/21 at 6:00 p.m. I believe we will meet in the lobby of the main office and we will be lead down to the Spartan Locker Room. Hope to see who can make it tomorrow!!

Important Information and Dinner 4/13/13

First of all I would like to thank Nick and Josh for coming out to Buddies to tell us what to expect for the upcoming season. Hopefully you all received the email about NOT having the pocket schedule stuffing tomorrow due to an error on the schedule holders.

The gift for the team this year will be little pocket LED flashlights they can carry with them as suggested by Larry. Randy and Dawn will be picking those up and will be put into the welcome bags. We also need bags as we only have enough this time around. The welcome bags and get away bags will be packed together in one bag, on Wednesday April 3rd at 5pm in the Spartan Locker Room. If you have anything to donate to both the bags, please bring them to the stuffing and let me know before hand if possible. Roberm12@mail.lcc.edu. Season ticket meet the team starts at 6pm with introduction to the team at 7. Nick will put bags into players lockers.

We also need a sign for the team bus with the words Lansing Lugnuts on the front so it faces out of the bus and our logo on the back for inside the bus for the players to see.

As for the dinner: The main dish will be Beef Stew and Marcia, Fran, Randy and Mickey will be making the stew.

First Event of the 2013 Season!

We will be meeting at Buddies in Holt on Sat. March 9th at 3:00 p.m.  for our annual "Spring Warm-Up Dinner." Members of the Lugnuts's staff will be on hand and will let us know what to expect for the upcoming season. Dinner is on your own. This will also be our March meeting date as well. We will be planning our events for April. They include: Welcome to Lansing Bags, Get-away-bags to start out the season, as well one later in April. The most important topic will be our menu for the first team dinner on Sat. April 13th. The game is at 2:05, and dinner will be following the game. What each person is bringing will be posted that way we all remember who is bringing what and who can sign up. Bring any ideas or questions to the dinner and the meeting!

Welcome to the new Lansing Lugnuts Booster Club website! We will have a calendar of events so everyone knows what is going on. When the event gets closer, more information will be available in a blog post. Use the contact tab to email us with any questions, application submissions and comments and ideas. To see what we are all about, please click on the mission statement tab. We will always be updating this site with tabs, posts and any other important information. If you wonder where did my favorite Lugnut(s) go, please check under the transaction tab. We will bring you updates on those players every so often to know how they are doing. Want to know how the Lugnuts did the game before? I will post a link after every game to check out the box score and recap. We will have links to the Lansing Lugnuts Website, Toronto Blue Jays Website, Midwest League Website and a link to search for a player (under Blue Jays Links). That will tell you where that player is currently playing and their stats so far! We are open to any suggestions and more information will be coming soon!
